LADDER + GLITTER

Hello my beautiful friends,

How has your day been so far? Mine has been going well actually. Tiring day but it was all good. It is going to be a busy week ahead but I'll try to update as much as possible here.

Well today I did a nail design for a friend from church and I didn't think it would turn out the way it did. She's just got beautiful hands and nails which were 'perfect' to make the design stand out. It is called the "LADDER + GLITTER" manicure. Well here is it.

I just love how the colours 'popped' out so well and the glitter just simply compliments the whole manicure altogether. I can't wait to try out more designs on people this coming week and see hoe they would turn out.

Well that's all I have for today.

LACE that turned into a LEGO

Hello my beautiful friends,

How has your weekend started off? I know mine has been awesome with tons of fun.

Here I am to share another nail art which I did for my friend but turned out to look more like a LEGO design rather than a LACE design that I intended and I felt so bad for my friend and felt I made a mistake. Maybe if you see it you'll understand better.

My friend somehow loved it as she had another choice of wearing the purple saree for her cousin's wedding dinner tonight. Well I'm glad she loved it, but I've gotta try out something else soon.
Maybe a real LEGO design will come up soon.

Well that's all for now my beautiful friends.

My HOPE is like an ANCHOR; FIRM & SECURE for my SOUL

Hello my beautiful friends,

How have you all been today? The weekend is about to start...do you have any plans yet?
Well my weekend is totally booked and I'm very excited for it though.

Well today... Well FINALLY  TODAY I had my ANCHOR dream come true.

FINALLY I did my ANCHOR design on my toes and its my very own as it was inspired by various ANCHOR designs online and here is mine.

That hope, firm and secure like an anchor for our souls, reaches behind the curtain. Hebrews 6:19 (ISV)

This is where I got my inspiration to do an ANCHOR design onto my nails is because this verse spoke to me. God spoke to me through this verse  where all my HOPE is from the LORD and it is FIRM and SECURE which is like an ANCHOR to my SOUL; my aching SOUL longing for God's LOVE and CARE everyday in my LIFE.

I just wanted to share why does the ANCHOR mean so much to me and what GOD means to me in my life going through struggles everyday and just depending on GOD in every step of the way.

Just remember God loves you and cares for YOU!
God Bless all you.

EPIC FAIL

Hello my beautiful friends,

Here I wanted to try the stripes nail polish art by putting the base colour as black and see how it turned out. I'm sure others would have tried it and this is the result I got with black as the base colour.

As you can see it didn't turn out well and in the end the black appeared over the sponge instead of the colours from the sponge getting onto the nail....hahahahaha
Well through trial and error is how we get through life each and everyday with God by our side to guide us through. Here is the result when you use other colours as the base colour and black onto this is the result.

The difference is pretty obvious but anyways I still love both of it as the black base still has a little colour on it. Well my beautiful friends please do go try them out and do let me know what you got from it.

GIFT FROM A FRIEND

Hello my beautiful friends,

How has your week been so far? Hope its going good. Mine has been a surprising day especially today. My beloved friend sent a gift for me and she did say it was nail polish but I had no idea what nail it was or even what to expect, so I wasn't expecting anything.

This is what that arrived at my door this morning.

I couldn't believe what I saw...I immediately went online to check it out and it was a limited edition nail polish by BOBBI BROWN and it cost most than I thought it would. I truly appreciate her and immediately sent her a message saying I will try it today and I did. It is a soft pink colour with glitter in it. It's such a soft yet elegant looking colour and I applied two coats and this is how it turned out.

I'm truly in love with this colour even though I'm not a girl who likes pink but this is such a sweet colour. She just knew my dream, my vision and my talent so well that she had the heart to get me this and I love her so much for it. Thank you once again Cassey for blessing me and I wish you were staying nearby and not so far. I can't wait to do your nails when you come over my dear.

Base Coats and Top Coats

Hello my beautiful friends,

Today I'm going to share with you some of the base coats and top coats I've tried out and used on my nails.

Base Coats is actually to help protect your nails from the nail polish colours and the Top Coat is to give a finishing touch to your manicure with a gloss and keeps your nail colours on for a week or more.

Here are the few nail treatments I've been using:

  1. Elianto's Base Coat - RM12
  2. Elianto's Top Coat - RM12
  3. Essence Studio Nail 24/7 Base Coat - RM9.90
  4. Essence Top Coat - RM8.90
  5. Silky Girl 2 in 1 Base and Top Coat - RM11.60
  6. Sally Hansen MEGA SHINE Top Coat - RM 42.00

Elianto's base coat I would say it has never let me down. It may be just a base coat but it gives a gloss to it where sometimes I would just apply the base coat alone and it was enough for me. It is worth the buy.
Where can you get it? From any ELIANTO outlet store's in shopping malls all over Malaysia and even ELIANTO online store http://www.elianto.biz/treatment

Elianto's top coat I've tried many times before and personally it is not my favourite. The liquid thickens up too fast and make it difficult to apply onto the nails as it damages the manicure. It thickens up within a month's time and then you would need to buy a new one for your nails which personally for me isn't worth it.
If you would want to try it out you could check it out at the stores or even the Malaysian ELIANTO online store http://www.elianto.biz/treatment

Essence Base and Top Coat has become my new favourite as I see how it dries up so quickly.
The base coat take 30 seconds to dry and the top coat takes 30 seconds to a minute to completely dry up. It has become my favourite now and it is reasonable for its quantity and quality.
I would recommend anyone wanting to invest into a good reasonable base and top coat, go for Essence You can get this in any WATSON around Malaysia and it is newly introduced in WATSON's so you may not find it in every WATSON now but soon you will. Do try them out and I'm sure you would love it.

This is my first time trying out this 2-in-1 Top & Base Coat by SILKY GIRL.
Personally I didn't like it too much. It took a longer time to dry up, maybe because it is 2-in-1 coat. IT took about almost 2 minutes for the base coat to dry and for the top coat too.
I wouldn't really recommend this if you're rushing but if want something efficient and if you have the patience then this would be your kind of coat. As it is convenient to travel with where you don't need 2 separate bottles for the base and top coat. Do have a try and let me know what you think of it.
I'll try it on my manicure's soon if you want to see them.

This top coat is one of the most expensive one's I've ever gotten and I've been using it for about a year now. It dries the manicure within 60 seconds and gives a glossy shine or MEGA SHINE to it.
It is not easy finding this top coat here in Malaysia but I found it in WATSON
The downfall to this top coat is the minute you open the bottle and apply it onto your fingers it smells really bad but once it is dried up there isn't any smell.
Another downfall is that it may smudge a little on your manicure (which only you can see and not on pictures) which is also a good thing.
It is worth it's quality but I wouldn't suggest you to buy it if you're not going to to use it much onto your nails because you would just be wasting your money.

Well that's all I have for my Base Coats and Top Coats. I hope you liked this review. Do let me know if you want me to do more reviews on other products.
Until then, see you all very soon

SIMPLY ELEGANT

Hello my beautiful friends,

Here I am today with another nail design which is called SIMPLY ELEGANT.
Today's nail design isn't much but I'm here to talk about the ESSIE nail polish and its quality while doing this nail design.
The ESSIE Nail Polishes are called

  1. Tart Deco
  2. Sparkle on Top (LUXE EFFECT)

This nail polishes I had to put 2 coats of the Tart Deco to get a solid look and I would say it looks pretty elegant and sweet as it it something I would use on a daily basis and also to functions like a wedding.
The Luxe Effect doesn't really show until a top coat is applied then the 'LUXE' pops out to shine.

Other than that I'm totally loving this new colours and combinations.

If you ever get a chance to try please do as the colours are simply amazing.

OMBRE NAILS

Hello my beautiful friends,

How are you all doing?

Well today I'm here to share with you an OMBRE NAIL DESIGN.

Trying it for the first time and obviously it wasn't neat but it turned out amazing.
You should try it and it takes lots of patience to sit and do this nail design.

Here are the items that you would need:

  1. Base coat - Essence Studio Nail Base 24/7 (RM10)
  2. White nail polish as the base colour - Elianto
  3. Pick 3 colours of your choice
  4. Triangle shape sponge or any old square sponge for make up (you can buy in DAISO for RM5 with 13 pieces in a pack)
  5. Top coat - Essence Quick Dry > 30 seconds (RM9)

Steps into doing the OMBRE NAIL ART DESIGN:
  1. Clean your nails with a nail polish remover (if needed)
  2. Apply your base coat onto your nails.
  3. Once it is dry apply 1 layer of the white nail polish onto your nails.
  4. Once that is dried take your sponge and apply 3 stripes of colours onto the sponge, then apply it onto your nails and just continue dapping it very lightly to get the colour onto your nails.
  5. It may be slightly messy and you can immediately wipe of the excess colours from your finger using a cotton bud.
  6. Once it has all dried up then apply your top coat for a finishing touch and you're done.

Well I hope you all love this tutorial.
Do try it out and let me know what you loved about it.

With Love,
Abigail
